Is this Sirius, North Star or something else?

I will try and get a better quality video posted tomorrow, I know the quality is poor. I have been seeing this star for around a month now (today being 25/1/09) and was wondering which it was. It has been appearing at around 4-4.30 pm and is always the only visible star in the sky for at least an hour. I have always been a sky watcher so wether or not I havent been looking hard enough before I dont know. Just thought I'd post it and see if n e one can help.

how bright is that? good work for a mobile phone :) also i think you caught a ufo. freeze it at 00:12 and look for the little point of light, far right of the screen, lower half! blink and you'll miss it
