David Shears, musician, singer, songwriter composer from the Gros Morne region of Newfoundland, Canada wrote this song that touches the heart of many Newfoundlanders living abroad.

Gros Morne National Park is located in the Long Range Mountains that form the northernmost section of the Appalachian chain on the eastern seaboard of North America. Wildlife in the park includes lynx, black bear, caribou, arctic hare, marten and moose. The coastal region supports whales and sea ducks including the Harlequin Duck.

Prominent features of Gros Morne include the tablelands where a section of the Earth's mantle is exposed at the surface and Western Brook Pond, a fresh water fjord carved out by glaciers during the most recent ice age

I would like to thank Dave for allowing me to use a selection from his CD along with his sister, Julia for providing much of the content.

  • EXCELLENT !!!!!

Just wondering what the name of the song is where you sing some words in it ... like a dream she was gone? Totally an excellent singer.

  • The name of the song you are looking for is called "Like So Many Dreams".

It's the first song on Dave's CD "It Takes Time"
