Ancient Breeze
Anna DeVine

Leading you into my deep
Ensures a place for us to keep
The moments we steal everyday
When hope is graced with time to play

Where love we make through written dreams
Can beat our hearts to their extremes
And tears that carve a sorrowed path
Our Mischief spans a funny laugh

The warming scents of your cologne
Hint comfort when I'm all alone
With tenderness to reminisce
And trust that savors passion's kiss

Where gathered thoughts of scattered time
Sing whisperings in ancient rhyme
That send your touch on Emerald's breeze
To love me free of life's disease

  • Beautiful love song. The last line puzzles me a bit?

  • Thank you for watching and commenting too. Feelings that last line held seem as lost to me now as they are do to the emotive archives of the ancient. *To Love me free of life's disease. Once, a Poetic expression written for me, with whose, amicable touch had left me leaving with what had felt like joy. It was this memory of joy compelling me to write that day, imploring a similar touch to come and find me as to alleviate the disheartening weight felt crushing me at the time

    Keep well 'Anna
