CHT Press is proud to announce the release of its latest book, "Paper Kills: Transforming Health and Healthcare with Information Technology."

"Paper Kills" addresses the most pressing issues in the drive to modernize and improve healthcare through health information technology. This unique book guides the reader on a tour of the evolving health information technology and health policy landscapes, covering topics from protecting privacy and advancing research to building health information exchanges and achieving interoperability. Other chapters explore the role of state governments, health plans, and hospitals in implementing health information technology, as well as the potential of health IT to promote the adoption of best practices in ambulatory care and focus on prevention, wellness, and early detection.

"Paper Kills" was edited by David Merritt, includes an introduction by former Speaker Newt Gingrich, and features contributions from the leading minds in healthcare.

  • Well Newt, for my existence my paper records have been fine, and I would like to opt-out of you, CHT and GE's new digital record keeping system.

You never think of the law of unintended consequences.

  • To err is human, to really screw up you need a computer.

  • Without paper they can cover up anythng. I know because the Dr's mess up my life at the age of 12. It was cover up until I was 33. Without the paper I would of never of know. Computers with paper is the best way. I don't trust Insurance Companies---they are there to make money not look out for you as a person. Don't be fooled---
