Now in production, BRINGING IT HOME follows Anthony Brenner's mission,
inspired by his young daughter with multiple chemical sensitivities, to
build the healthiest homes. His quest leads him to build "America's First
Hemp House" in Asheville, NC, using hempcrete which must be imported.
Industrial hemp walls are breathable, carbon-negative, non-toxic,
mold-pest and flame-resistant, and can help cut energy bills in half. The
one drawback--the U.S. prohibits farming industrial hemp, the
non-psychoactive cannabis sativa plant that 31 other nations grow.
Americans purchase 415 million in hemp products annually and just as a
sustainable building material, industrial hemp farming could create
1,000's of jobs in the U.S. and make healthy homes affordable for all.
Help us make the documentary that will get everyone asking "why aren't we
growing it here?"

One step at a time I guess. I mean, only so much energy can go into a cause.

  • Cannabric, I like that.

I'm definitely looking to buy this. More than one even and sharing it. This gives me hope in America. Thank you.

  • Looking forward to this very much

  • Hmm? Strange you people aren't helping work to 'end the drug war'? I mean you want a safe world for kids, but you aren't working to 'end the drug war'? Hmmm?

  • I support H.R. 1831: Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2011 because if the United States wants to get out of our recession and save our markets, we must produce economic trends, instead of bleeding out the side to China and India. Hemp was the legally grown choice plant in the early 1600s. We must remember our history and what made this very country in the first place. - Christopher J. Maness

  • This video is a "must see" for anyone who is looking for an alternative building product but more importantly for US government agencies to start looking into the economic development benefits that hemp growing can provide for our farmers.
