  • This video has been so helpful for me, I'm performing this for my solo/ensemble this year and I have put this on my iPod and have been using it as a musical reference and it is so useful to refer to this for when I need help with my solo.

    It is a marvelous recording.

  • I appreciate that. Keep me posted on how your performance goes.

  • Beautiful!

  • this is amazing i played it on my trumpet for all state. and i chose to play it for solo and ensemble and it can only be played on flugle horn and thats fine and all but the hardest part is the high b on a flugle horn and i have tried reaching it but its so difficult. On trumpet i play it fine but i cant seem to get it on my flugle ( any suggestions)

  • this video is amazing i'm doing this solo to try out for all-county. this video is really helpful you played it awesome!!!!!

  • Lovely!

  • Great trumpet work too.

  • This song was immortalized, or popularized if you will, in the 1980 PBS series COSMOS, episode 13 "Who Speaks For Earth?". The imagery, narrative and music fit together perfectly. It's here on Youtube. I encourage you to seek it out.

  • I thought you did a great job, I would have enjoyed hearing a larger contrast in your dynamics. It could just be that its compressed for the recording though.
