  • @UnbeatTim42 @andtomill1 What does it matter who has what awards? Both are great artists and both sang this song wonderful. Both versions have different pros and cons to them. Also the two songs were recorded in different eras with different standards for music.

  • @Tweeba111 Facts always defeat opinions.

  • @UnbeatTim42 well so what if whitney did get the song noticed more even if she sang te song with more amotion it would be just the same as she sang it in this song but no matter what Dolly parton and the way she sings this song will ALWAYS ALWAYS be better then whitneys version and thats the way it will always be . So what if whintey can hit a higher not Dolly will always be better no matter what

  • @andtomill1 and a total of 415 awards and 562 nominations making Whitney the most awarded female artist of all time. Even if Dolly did sing this with more "emotion" it never got too much notice until after Whitney covered it. You did exactly the same thing as that country music fangirl, shoving Dolly's achievements down my throat doesn't change the truth and doesn't make Dolly's version better.

  • @andtomill1 Most of Dolly's achievements come from the country charts and aren't considered as important as mainstream hits. Whitney has 11 number 1 hits, 2 of her albums debuted at number 1, the record for 7 consecutive singles hitting number 1, her version of this song spent 14 weeks at number 1, 2 Emmy awards, 6 Grammys, 22 American Music Awards (and 37 nominations), more than 170 million albums/singles sold (and excluding compillations)

  • @andtomill1 I never said you insulted Whitney, i was refering to a comment that princesslilianza1 made on another video where she did insult her, of course, i don't mind you prefering Dolly, both versions of the song are good but i stay with Whitney. Peace.

  • She has received eight Grammy's and a total of 45 Grammy nominations. At the 2011 Grammies she was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. At the American Music Awards she has won three awards, but has received 18 nominations. At the Country Music Association, she has received 10 awards and 42 nominations. At the Academy of Country Music, she has won seven awards and 39 nominations. She is one of only six female artists to win the Country Music Association's highest honor,Entertainer of the Year.

  • 25 of her single or album releases as either Gold Record, Platinum Record or Multi-Platinum Record. She has had 26 songs reach number one on the Billboard charts, a record for a female artist. She has 42 career-top-10 albums, a record for any artist, and 110 career-charted singles over the past 40 years. All inclusive sales of singles, albums, collaboration records, compilation usage, and paid digital downloads during Parton's career have reportedly topped 174 million records around the world

  • @UnbeatTim42 So she is your favourite singer big whoop yes she is a great singer, yes she has a great voice, but i stand by what i said dolly sings with a lot more feeling.

  • @UnbeatTim42 I did not insult Whitney i simply said i prefer Dolly how is that an insult?

Everyone has their own taste just because i prefer her version to Whitney's does not make it an insult.
