He once collected butterflies
Lost himself in second hand
Slept knee-deep in alibis
Wanted her to understand

He once got stuck on Danish girls
Slept knee-deep in fair isle wool
Stretching out for others worlds, other worlds
Even Sundays were someways full, yeah
Even Sundays were someways full

Couldn't make infinity
Slept in fear of waking up
So much into fantasy
You never knew what he was making up, no,
He never knew what he was making up

  • Kid Strange once emailed me the chords for Marie and Joe so I could play it, computer crashed, lost them - I'll just have to work them out the hard way now. Got any live footage of the band? It seems scarce.

  • that's a very cool thing!

i haven't got any live videos, i never saw them live. i guess there aren't any dvds also, or something like that.

  • it's "marie and joe". i've posted the song for you to listen.

  • First heard this track on the Alan Freeman show, still got a recording of the show on cassette.Pure class.

  • saw them 5 times at the Marquee..and when they blew be bop deluxe off the stage at the Hammersmith..criminally underrated genius

  • they played the Gaskessel in Bern switzerland as well

  • They band played 'Doctors of Madness' on the Twiggy Show and then played 'Perfect Past' with Twiggy. A clip was briefly shown when Richard was interviewed on Later by Jools Holland.

  • I saw them 4 times in total, the best was the first, when they did something support bands never do - blow away the headline act in Sheffield, with a set no-one had heard yet as the album wasn't out. And for a freak rock / art rock /post-apocalyptic (whatever they were!) band that was a hell of an achievement. The first 3 gigs were all great, the first had the most impact, but the band's farewell gig in Camden wasn't that good, no Urban by then, and it was all a bit sad to know it was ending.

  • Great band. 3 great albums, buy them all!

  • Nice one. Cheers!
