Free your mind, be "colour-blind!" Islam does not discriminate between Humans based on trifling earthly standards, whether by colour, lineage, wealth or country. Rather the only criterion by which people are regarded as superior to others before God is their Taqwa (Piety or God-consciousness). Indeed, Islam may offer the only comprehensive solution to Global racism.
Allah Says, "O Mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into Nations and Tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is a (Believer) who has Piety (Taqwa)." (49:13)
The Prophet (S) said, "O you who believe, verily your Lord is One, and your father (Adam) is one. There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab or of a non-Arab over an Arab, or of a white man over a black man or of a black man over a white man, except in terms of Piety." (Ahmad, 5/411; Classed as Sahih by Shaykh Albani)
The Prophet (S) also said, "Those who boast about their forefathers should desist or they will be less significant in Allah's Sight than the dung-beetle that rolls up dung with its nose. Allah has taken away from you the arrogance of Jaahiliya (or ignorance of Pre-Islamic eras) and its pride in forefathers, so a person is either a pious Believer or a miserable and doomed evildoer. All the people are the Children of Adam- and Adam was created from dust." (At-Tirmidhi, 3890; Classed as Hasan by Shaykh Albani).
