Complete Chaos within the Vancouver taxi dispatch yellow cab vancouver taxi black top cabs checkered cabs , cab drivers wanting to go downtown but cannot

Transit bus service was suspended in all of downtown vancouver with the exception of some west vancouver blue buses

Taxis were not permitted to enter downtown area so they must have lost a lot of income that night

People looking to catch a taxi were being told to walk to Main Street near the bus depot area in order to catch a cab

This was a repeat of 1994 all over again when the Vancouver Canucks NHL Hockey team lost the Stanley Cup also in Game 7 of the finals , today played at Rogers Arena in downtown vancouver city

Again there was tear gas in the streets of vancouver , looting , with crowds this time of over 100,000 people who initially watched the hockey game peacefully until the canucks lost miserably to the Boston Bruins 4-0 on June 15, 2011
