  • excellent singer. does anybody has his song "olide yaatakamma lakumi vasudevage" pls pls pls upload

  • @zcashok Hi Ashok, We have the video with us .. will be posted on Radio Idli soon.. will have you updated. Thanks.

  • He is a Hindustani Singer, and sings most of the composition in the same style that explains why he is not very famous in rest of india. I think he does not sing pure classical as well.

  • Puttur Narasimha Nayak is a great icon among Saraswats and those from around Mangalore. In his music, he draws raagas from hindustani as well as carnatic classical, but he has his own contemporary style of faster tempo and amazing variations

  • @vedaBang The song presented here is light classical - devotional genre.

  • Pt. Puttur Narasimha Nayak is a gifted singer. Some people commented that he is not a classical singer. Who bothers. As long as he creates vibrations in your body which gives a divine feeling, it does not matter whether he is classical or Hindustani or Carnatic singer. Please enjoy his bhajans

  • @shrihaNXP

He is quite popular in Karnataka. He is not recognized as a "Classical" Singer, but as a popular "Bhajan" Singer. Lot of people have sang "Dasara Padagalu", but he presented the same in a new way. He is one of the few who adds Hindustani classical touch to Bhajans.

  • @yes123a It was composed by one of the greatest Dasa Shreshtas, Vijaya Dasa. You cannot say this about his song, because Purandara Vitthala himself appeared in his dreams and told him to compose keerthanas, which are numbered around 25,000.
