A lovely, soothing, thoroughly professional cover. Personally, dare I say it, I find your voice warmer and nostalgic, and makes for a sadder song than the original, amazing as Don McLean's is. This version transported me back about 10 years, to when I first heard it, and - somehow - infinitely further back in time.

SUPERB! ....the original singer of the song has his own style, voice quality and personality that shud be revered as his,.. respectively....that matter is given... however, that shouldnt be used as a standard for other artists who would like to do their own ... music is soul....HANG ON AND GET BY LARRY!.... THANK YOU FOR HITTING US WITH YOUR EXEMPLARY SKILL.....

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Would be decent with out the lame reverb on the vocals and you need to rework the vocals and sing it appropriately not how you perceive it to be.

Apparently you have not heard Don McLean's various versions of the song. My version is respectful to Don McLean's interpretations. I sang it 'appropriately', and I think most would agree.. The amount of reverb is personal taste, and I feel here it is not excessive. As is often the case, those who make negative comments almost NEVER post a video themselves, as is the case with you. I'd love to hear your version of this song, so I may understand what is 'appropriate' as you 'perceive it to be'.
