Why are some vibrations forbidden?
There is a satanic ritual within some songs (eg.Lady Gaga)
We tend to imagine something dirty uncensored
Sometimes music and the environment encourages people to adultery and evil
Educating bad things in message
Occult and youth influences started from music videos
Alteration of human emotions due to the range or types of instrument
Avoiding submission to the Creator (Eg.forgetting time for prayer due to idle)
Specific and not Generalised.

Guitars etc, and songs with sinful acts like sex becuase of the urge you may get. The other main reason is so you are not kept from your prayers.

Everybody stop with the arguing about small little matters. The type of music that is haram is that in which string instruments are used like

People, please. Music is not haraam. How can it be haraam when your own people have melodies worshiping YOUR GOD?
Use your brain.

@shamsham1983 Then you can listen to songs about God and love!
I listen to bad azz gangsta rap whole my life, watch horrormovies or movies with violence, I play first person shooters with violence and you know what? I'm always kind to people, got much love, never shout, never fight and make a lot of jokes. When I had to pray 5 times a day I would be a lot more sulky.
Can't you hear this violence-music because you can't seperate fantasy from reality?? Are you still a kid?

You need not speak Arabic brother... the Audio is completely in English. Only at the beginning the Orator reads the Quran. Please listen to the complete lecture. After 5 minutes of the beginning of the talk the Orator STARTS HIS ENGLISH LECTURE.

You said in your comments that Quran is complete and we do not require the Hadith to prove what is Right and what is wrong.
Alhamdulillah Quran is Complete but for the documentary we need the words of the Prophet(Peace be upon him).
For Example: Quran asks us to pray Salah but how to pray, How many rakas to pray and what to recite at Ruku and Sujood is give by the Teachings of the Prophet(Peace be upon him).
"Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah." (Surat an-Nisa': 80)

The Gracious Qur'an is complete, and explains everything that is haram in detail, as not to leave us confused and question it. Idle talk, if u ask me i think idle talk is gossip magazines or writings that forbid what is not forbidden. The Qur'an states that it is the best hadith. Anything written after is inferior. So why do muslims turn to hadiths to find what is not forbidden in the holy Qur'an? Lots of ppl convert because music influenced them.

You should accept whatever the Messenger gives you and abandon whatever he tells you to abandon. Have taqwa of Allah... (Surat al-Hashr: 7)
I can give more proofs but i think I have given you enough. If you obey the Quran you HAVE to obey the Prophet(Peace be upon him) and he(Peace be upon him) Says Several Times that Music is haram. STOP LISTENING TO MUSIC BROTHER.
Assalamu Alaikum.
