http://fatnews.com/ Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com.
Gwen Olsen, author of "Confessions of an RX Drug Pusher", who worked as a sales representative for the drug companies for 15 years calling on doctors, tells how she was addicted to the anti-anxiety drug Xanax (alprazolam) for 10 years.
She also says that after stopping Xanax, she experienced withdrawal symptoms for 6 months.
She says that all psychiatric drugs can be addictive.
She notes that withdrawal symptoms with any psychiatric drug can be 10 times worse than the initial symptoms.
She notes that psychiatric drugs -- antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs, etc -- should NEVER be stopped quickly, but must be withdrawn very, very slowly.
More information about Gwen Olsen can be found on her website:

i can't stand psychiatrists. thet get tons of kick backs from drug companies because they shell out this crap like candy. its normal to be happy sad.whats not normal is being a zombie with no emotion. they are told to say there are no withdrawl symptoms when really they are worse than street drugs.

medical practice creates all manner of disease, including many cases of "depression". medical doctors, as they typically do, fail to get their patients well, and some understandably begin to lose hope. instead of having the honesty to face their failure, sometimes the doctor blames the patient by suggesting the patient must be crazy, and sends them to his shrink buddy to slap a diagnosis of clinical depression on them, then medicate them until they really are nuts.
