I saw this fight when it occurred and I still think that it ranks as the best fight in boxing. Ken Norton won in my view. Larry had to be taken out in a stretcher.

@kevham09 lol so it's the klitschkos fault they dont have strong competition? just because ali, foreman, frazier etc were good competition for eachother does NOT mean they would be good competition for the Klitschkos. They would be just another chisora and arreola to them.

Klitschkos are just too big / too fast for the heavyweights (cruiserweights by todays standard) of the golden era. Get your nostalgic head out of their asses and accept reality.. things change!

@shellbsd23 ha ha what a comment again! the top 10 currently out there are a laughing stock. tyson fury, derel chisora etc, these clowns wouldnt be considered good enough to spar with ali, norton, frazier etc.middleweights are pulling the biggest tv audiences now beacuse its competitive and good boxers like pacqiaou and maywether.

current crop of heavyweights is embarrassing even their own trainers admit it cos these trainers were around for tyson, lewis and hollyfield. dont bother replying!

Klitschko is a nobody, he hasnt fought anyone world class. just look at all the lists of the all time greats etc. when he retires nobody will remember him as these legends of the ring are remembered, they noth fought ALI 'the greatest' for godsake!

This fight was extremely close, to me Norton won though.. Shows how great Holmes was in comparison with Ali, by no means there was no comparison. Holmes was a fine champion; great left jab and heart. Ali was something else, in his prime, he would have beaten Holmes to a pulp.

I think prime Norton would beat Holmes. Norton said that Ali was better. Norton: Hitting Ali in the body or on the arms was like hitting a piece of cement.
