Oerg's DOSGameShow Episode 8 - Psycho Pinball (Codemasters 1995)

Finally got some decent footage. The reason it took so long is that I had to practice the game first, to survive longer than a minute without already getting a game over. Honestly, the game's ridicoulusly hard. Other than that, the graphics are quite nice and the music is FANTASTIC. My rating: 8.75/10

but this table is the hardest for me, and the Wild West is the easiest.

  • I can't start it in DosBOX! I mount the PsychoPinball folder into the DosBOX, but I don't know how to run it?

  • @dmob85 In order to run it the PsychoPinball-folder needs to be in a subdirectory called "pp". Try it out.

  • Can you please not show the Trick or Treat level. It is too scary! Please!

  • play it on the Mega Drive

  • I renember as a kid, I was so damn scared of the clown at the beginning that when the game started I hided behind the sofa xD

  • I loved this game to death, especially the sea level. On the table where you could go to the other worlds, I would always get my score by going into the sealevel and never coming out of it. When the score is too big for the number of digits offered, it sadly starts from zero again :(. God I would love it if they offered a HD version of it on android phones. AWESOME GAME

  • @dmob85 1. Download and install DOSBox (prefrebly the latest version).

    2. Download and unzip the game Psycho Pinball. (there should be a folder named PP with all the files in it).

    3. Put the PP folder directly on drive C: (so you'll have a folder called C:PP).

    4. Run DOSBox (no frontends - just DOSBox).

    5. Enter the following commands (press enter after each line of command):

    mount c c:\

    c:

    cd pp

    psycho

  • @dmob85 Dunno if you still need the help, but first you mount the folder or mount something previous and then go to the folder. After that you will just type the name of the .exe file and press enter. For me it looks like this:

    "MOUNT C C:\GAMES

    C:\

    CD PSYCHO

    _P_.exe"

And then it will launch the game. Ofcourse I have first put in the correct settings in "setup.exe"(or was it install.exe).

  • Pff, I'd like the Psycho table music fully, is it possible that you can arrange this to happen?

  • I consider Wild West the worst pinball table I've ever played. Its layout makes it too easy for the ball to drain. I guess that's balanced by the fact that you can score big in a shorter time than with the other tables; but unlike those other tables, it has no exponential bonuses to speak of (Dodge the Express is pathetic compared to Abyss' Wreck and ToT's MB Jackpot). And that Casino makes getting playfield multipliers and extra balls even more luck-based.

I hate the Wild West table...

  • Definitly a decent game! Never understood what music format this was.
