This is my 3rd video shot with iPhone 4 in HD. Mars, Venus and Saturn align August 7, 2010. The planets are going to be closest (within 10 degrees from each other) on August 12, 2010, which is also the date when this year's Perseids meteor shower will be at its peak. Venus is the brightest, and today it was in first quarter. Saturn is to the top right and Mars is very bleak as it it nearly farthest from the Earth as it can be right now.
The video is shot with iPhone 4, held in my hand, through the eyepiece of the telescope. 5 sequences combined and trimmed using iPhone iMovie app from Apple.
This year i saw 4 planets align mecury venus mars and jupitar

@tryxzie Wait for August 12 -- Mars, Venus and Saturn will form a triangle. Mars is furthest it can be from Earth now, so it's very bleak. But you can see rings on Saturn right now even without a telescope -- just with powerful binoculars! Even today I could see saturn's rings in one of those monoscopes in the park where you drop a quarter coin :)
