A pressure pot will not explode if safeguards are in place. usually there is a blow off valve that will kick in around 60 PSI. Most pots will say how much pressure they can handle. Example my 2 pots have a limit of 80 PSI. Usually I pressure cast between 40 and 50 PSI. I set the pressure on my compressor and then on the pots. It is very unlikely that a pot will explode if you watch the settings and if your blow off valve is working properly. I've never had one go. You can buy them separate.

I hope this doesn't come off as a dumb question as I'm a complete newbee, but I was reading that a pressure pot can explode. Is this true? I'd like to get into pressure casting but am worried I might F this up and make it explode. Where can I buy that quick release emergency blow off valve from?

That is awesome. I've just acquired a Pressure Pot from Art Molds, now I can do some quality casts of my sculptures and figures, your video was very helpful on how to set up the pressure pot working. And your website is awesome, some very cool figures. Keep Rockin'!
