Onride POV of Wild Thing at Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way, Washington. Taken 7/24/10.

Please note: I took this POV with the permission of Wild Waves Theme Park ride operators, and I took full responsibility for my actions. NEVER take a POV on a ride without park permission, and make sure you are able to hold your camera in a way that is comfortable but firm, so you won't let go of it during the ride. Know the forces on the ride you are riding and ensure that they are not enough to knock the camera out of your hands.

  • so happy to watch this video. The Wild Thing was originally called the Corkscrew and was located aty Rocky Point Park in Warwick RI. When the park closed the coaster was sold and ended up as the Wild Thing. I rode this EXACT coasted many times as a kid, I wish it was still here.

I hope you guys enjoy it!

  • @krl0215 Wow, it's cool to hear from somebody who rode it as Loop Corkscrew! When Wild Thing still had its green track/blue supports paint job, I could see a brake fin that hadn't been repainted that was still white (from LC's original all-white paint job). Head over to Washington and get to Wild Waves so you can reride it; see if it's as good 16 years later!

  • goin to wild waves next wedenesday, i am kinda scared of roller coasters and loops so i waned to go on the timberhawk but i was told this is better bcuz it has a loop but its not that scary and timberhawk makes ur stomach feel queasy, what would be better for someone who's aways had a bit of a fear? or if theres another RC at WW that would b better lemme know kk thnx :)

  • @MyGirlCajun For somebody who's always had a bit of fear, I'd start small. Wild Waves has a lot of good rides that can sorta build you up for Timberhawk and Wild Thing, namely Falling Star, Disk'o Flashback, Kangabounce, Timberaxe and Klondike Goldrusher. For Klondike Goldrusher, make sure you sit on the right side (front or back doesn't matter), and for Timberaxe, sit on either end in the center. Sorry for being a little late, and I hope you enjoy your visit! =D

  • Still, i love Wild thing.. It was my first coaster

  • I keep forgetting they finally painted it yellow instead of that ugly vomit green... AKA duck green.

  • This ride is so boring!

  • Wild thing? lol i chickened out and stayed with the Timberhawk

  • My class is going there in late May or June..... I'm not sure.. although we can't go on the water rides cuzz someone drowned... :(

  • @bailie3513 The name is the only thing these coasters currently share! This is much more comparable to Corkscrew at said park.

  • is this ride scary?

  • haha i rode that a couple days ago with my best friend, i was in that exact seat.

    It was rad

  • LOVE THAT RIDE! My friend was deadly scared of this since she never been to Wild Waves.... Plus there were 4 little girls ages 5, 7, 8, and 8 in line and she was STILL scared... So I made her promise to ride it twice... But she was like I dont even want to ride it once.... But guess who wanted to ride it a THIRD time:)

  • 0:46 should save you some time.

  • @tatsurider A Eurofighter would be great, but the park has a 125 ft height limit on all rides, so it'd have to be pretty short. I agree that the park has become a better place since PARC has taken it over; it's nice that they're finally making some upgrades to the waterpark! The theme park could use an S&S Double Shot and perhaps one more coaster... the lake is the best area for one. Only time will tell what the park will get.

  • @MegaEastKing theres rumor that they might put one

  • i like to turn the volume down to avoid the loudness of the screaming

  • @IntaminFanboy for a while the ride was still green while it was in wildwaves they repainted it 2 years ago

  • The new management at this park is starting already to make a positive impact. The staff is a lot friendlier and they are building a new waterslide. Will a coaster be next.? A Eurofighter would be a perfect fit for this smaller park! Let's hope a new coaster comes soon!!!

  • I appreciate so much how mature you are about the reality of onride video. It's not something to be taken lightly, and you've handled it very well. :)

  • @IntaminFanboy lol i did and id never go on timber axe since it goes upside down 0.0 i went on timberhawk and i found out if i close my eyes its fine XD although for about a minute i walked weird cuz my legs and hands were shaking... XDXDXD lmao

  • @IntaminFanboy

Yup it was one of the first coasters I ever got to ride. I think it was installed in 1984, but I was only 5. Probably rode it 100's of times once I was tall enough.

Search Rocky Point Corkscrew on here and you can see some videos of it in its original home!

  • this ride really isnt that scary or whatever u wanna say. Its just..OKAY.

  • @bmcgee136557 IKR

  • I love this ride it is so much fun!!! Going to morrow so exited!!! :)
