@ssimoliwfwh I call utter bullshit......
-
@ssimoliwfwh In fact Europe was more advanced than Japan in medieval combat...
-
@ssimoliwfwh O.o how the hell do you calculate that? no offence ofc.
-
@ssimoliwfwh and where do your calculations stem from? movies?
-
Samurai are statistically more advantageous in combat. (by about 36.782% in my calculations)
-
it is 4 fun! =D

Perhaps how the fights where long drawn out battles instead of a short fast battles (to which Japanese animes are nortorious for doing).
-
This reminds me of one of Japanese animes.

That was an excellent presentation. And, of course, I love seeing women encouraged and allowed to fight.

Fun presentation; I couldn't help but notice, though, that the anecdote about the Englishman taking on six Frenchman with a bec-du-corbin during the Hundred Years War was a mis-telling of the actual event. The real story took place in the 1500's in the war with Spain, and the Englishman in question (Peake, I believe) used a halberd with the head taken off--a quarterstaff.
