@Mariekelise That would be Ron Tutt drumming. He was Elvis's last tour drummer. Ron Tutt joined Neil Diamond's touring band in 1981 after Dennis St. John left.

John Cafferty borrowed the chord sequence from "Cherry, Cherry" for his band's "On The Dark Side" -- probably why that was such a big hit. I think many artists borrow from this -- John Cougar too.

Brilliant. If not the greatest, then surely one of the greatest American Singers of all time. He is a superb showman. His songs have an audience grabbing beat. Add his vocals that build and build on the beat and you have a totally "hooked" audience. Everyone on stage with him are having a ball from the looks of it. Totally enjoyable to watch and/or listen to.
