The skill of curling a ball is lost today due to the beach balls that are used for matches. Players like Ronaldo and Drogba simply hit the ball as hard as they can towards the goal from free-kicks, and the media buys into the idea that the way the ball dips so quickly is pure technique. Total bullshit, a recent example was the ball in the ROI-Macedonia game it was a disgrace.

@SpawnofChaos2010 I must admit I was more heartbroken when Henry left cos of the passion he had for the club as a player and fan, but Pires was probably the best left sided midfielder in the world at times for Arsenal, this goal was only nothing compared to other magic moment he had..
