This is a Dentron qro that I just picked up and thought people would like to see it. The net doesn't have very much info on it and I am looking for a copy of the manual. (PS NOT THE CLIPPERTON L, I need the clipperton QRO
Looks 95% like my clipperton L still got the original tubes but the are a little old an tired like me. You can buy replacement parts from ameritron off their al-572 model.
I have had one of these for 10 years and never got to key it the first time lol. I took it out today and its getting some age on it, but, I got a new Transformer for it and I am going to attempt to put it in myself, I tried to get guys to fix it and all they try to do is talk me out of it and wont fix the GD thing! So here it goes it really looks easy to do to be honest.
Thats a NICE amp. I have a Clipperton L that needs the tuned input hooked back up. I can't find much info on were I can get some schematics to show were the wires go to, and the internet foums like Eham and QRZ are worthless. Most of the hams on those forums only want to make snide remarks and not offer any help. GOD FORBID if you are new/newer and ask ANY technical questions on those forums!!!!
That band switching circuit looks like it would work in my amp, but i cant use my amp here i have to rewire the back part of my house to get the right power.Last tiime i ran my amp it looked like a disco hall in here when i was talking and when the fridge kicked in i lost half my power lol guess i better get to rewiring. nice vid eric catch you on the air waves..
