  • @scottysmo88 According to Kubrick's wife it is pronounced q-brick.

  • @glishteach cage isnt that bad of an actor, he just usually picks really shitty roles.

  • How can it be one of the best movies of all time when it 's lead is on of the worst actors of all time? Granted, he's not as bad as Cruise/Reaves/Cage but he really isn't much better. He's not up to film standard, he should have stuck to soap operas.

  • @scottysmo88 From imdb's Stanley Kubrick trivia section: According to his daughter, Vivian Kubrick, the family name is pronounced like "Que-brick," rather than like "koo-brick".

  • This movie's way too short

  • Kubrick. KOO-brick. Not Q-Brick.

  • @Francesko263 Ironically, his unimpressiveness was the key in this film. His performance was not dramatic or inspiring, but plentifully plain and conventional. His performance suits the theme and the mood.

  • Kubrick has made a lot of great films, for my money this is his best. Of the hundreds of films I have seen Barry Lyndon is 1 among thirty or so I would give a 10/10 to.

  • @icarus212001 Yes, but with it, we most certainly would not have had Barry Lyndon

  • @888johngalt He was in the top ten actor list at that time, and Warner required Kubrick to cast somebody in that list. That period was brief however.
