excellent! I'll be getting the CS2 in 4 months and a few days, along with the GG1 and a steam loco with mfx and sound (I don't know which one yet; there are so many to choose from!) and one of the SVT 04 models.

Fortunately, you only have to buy this kind of equipment once in a lifetime. If you go by the handbook, and obey the rules/ protocols (set by the NMRA or the NEM), you can't do wrong. The price of these control centres is about 600~700 Euros, which is equal to
2-4 locos (w/o decoder) OR
1-2 locos (w sounddecoder), OR
4-20 passenger coaches, OR
2 -25 freight cars
In other words: a whole year's savings.
Its not a cheap pastime, but it is very spectacular!
