  • My laptop has a built-in wifi. How Can I get a Cantenna to work with it? I have two apartments in on opposite sides of a street(lots of steel and concrete) and want to share internet off a Greenpacket Wimax Box. Any ideas?

  • @itsrichardintt You will have to buy a usb wifi adapter with an external antenna. You can get them for around $10 online. Just unscrew the antenna and attach a cord to your cantenna.

  • what diameter is the can? and where did you put the n-type plug?

  • @sotris99 N-parts are dirt cheap on ebay. The can is a standard juice can (in the US). It is approx 4 inches in diameter

  • @crazypcdude thanx for the reply... about the n-type plug i meant how far did you put it from the edge of the can

  • @sotris99 Oops, I see that now. It is about 1.75 inches from rear of can.

  • awesome waveguide!

  • talking tooo low.

  • Thanks for the video. My own cantenna has been a lifesaver. So many job applications are online only, and job searches, etc. Many homeless aren't allowed in locations where FREE wifi is available, including PUBLIC library computer access. Lucky my laptop still works after 5+ years and a cantenna can get me long range access to the free wifi that is available to regular people.
