  • Jesus Christ did not "ENABLE us to be redeemed" as Piper states. "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, HAVING OBTAINED ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US." (Heb 9:12) Christ accomplished redemption for his people, not the potential of redemption for all of humanity provided they meet the condition of faith. Piper's hyper-emotive, neo-Cal nonsense is no substitute for the right division of scripture.

  • John Piper's atonement is a train-wreck of Calminianism. To find out more look for:

  • How does God display love to all, by only dieing for some? And if this is true why should I follow peace with all men, when it would be characteristic of God to hate some men and love others, if we are called to be immitators of God? Why should I be merciful unto all, when God was merciful unto some only that he chose?

  • ". . . otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’” I'll think about that for a while.

Oh, yeah, that script is Mark 4:10-12.

  • He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,

and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”

ANYONE WHO COMES TO JESUS IS FORGIVEN, but He only gives the gift to hear to the elect. So you can in full TULIP honesty say: If you come to Christ, He will forgive you. And it is up to the Holy Spirit to open up ears

  • @TheKJVberean @TheKJVberean I think You're missing my point here. "IF" again "IF" God decided to do send some to hell and some to heaven it would be righteous because God did it. Ultimately the definition of righteousness is God. I dont see anywhere in the Bible that "God sending some to heaven and some to hell is unrighteous"(as you stated). That would be great if you know where the Bible says that because then I would have a slam dunk argument against Calvinism.

  • continued: by making that statement you have declared God as Unrighteous if he ever chose to do so. No matter what God ever chooses to do he will be righteous in the book I read. .. I hope this is a little easier to understand than my last post.

  • @bammc19 Im not a TULIP believer but if you are saying that if Calvinism is true then Jesus is a failure with all those that go to hell after calvary? Couldn't the same argument be made to what you believe saying God is a failure because he wants everyone to be saved and not all are saved. Maybe we cant comprehend pure success as God can regardless of weather he predestines...? just Maybe we dont have it all figured out.

  • @TheKJVberean I'm not a TULIP believer but if you dont understand God does it make him unrighteous? Whatever God decides to do will be righteous.(right?) Even if he says smash the babies heads against the rocks. (which he does) I think your argument of righteousness is weak because it's around the understanding of what YOU find righteous. If God choose to predestine people to Hell it would be righteous because hes God.You could say its not true cause the bible says so but righteous is Gods call

  • @grantedimustbeinsane YES!! He gives us life, we cannot even choose to follow Him because no one seeks God. (Romans 3) It is so cool.
