  • the best band in the world , the wildest sound in the history of rock & roll , who apreciates the power of heavy music never forget this amazing sound created by kiss ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • kiss was a glam hard rock band not a dance pop band thats when they started sucking in 75/76! if i want to hear dance music i listen to kylie minogue not KISS! is i want to hear ballads i listen to SADE not KISS! when i want to hear kick in that balls rnr i listen to 73-74 KISS! be who you are!

  • @sjdss Ace probably hated this equally for financial reasons. E.g., you mention Disco/Dance Music artist, Kylie Minogue, as one of your favorites. After borrowing a couple of her cds in the library, I was amazed at some of the progressive material on them, BUT if she was to put out an entire recording of such material, it would tank as the majority of her fans want to hear the her light disco/dance music.

Same with KISS, especially this came out in their teen bopper period with disco material

  • @smscamp LOL! seriously?! this shit sucks! ever wonder why ACE hated this AND bob ezrin?!

  • post 1975 KISS sucks! other than ACES solo record and a few songs on the other albums!

  • The Elder has some pretty good songs on it. Just a different type KISS album. I think it gets more credit today than when it came out.

  • i was nine by the time "the elder" got out. i hated everything about it back then. getting rid of the long hair, the costumes, the music and most of all the departure of ace, i couldn't believe it. i turned to def leppard and iron maiden and listened to the old stuff like love gun, alive and so on.

  • @Vatch1966 I know that. I don't see how that relates to my earlier comment.

  • @whitbyjet65 Ace was miserable and frustrated by this point in the band's career....

  • The elder is a good album. And I agree , If it were say , a Rush release it would have been considerd Great. Kiss just shot themselves in the foot going teenie pop. Probably Gene's fault!

  • my thoughts on the elder tracks 1-4 WTF

the rest were actually good this aint kiss's worst now if u wanna talk hot in the shade...

  • One of the best things about this live recording is that they are using Marshalls where I noticed on their reuion tours they used tinny sounding Hiwats, big difference in sound. Marshalls rule and I am not a paid endorser of Marshalls

  • @PolyQuasi The only spinal tap aspect is they played it with make up, the Elder with the non-makeup \non-teen-booper KiSS or if released by Rush, Savatage etc would have been considered of the best progressive metal recordings of all time

  • This is one song that kiss should play live. Awesome Song!!! The Elder was a great album but it was before its time.

  • This is so Spinal Tap it hurts.

  • Ace looked so cool during this era.

  • I wish they would bring this back in concert, as well as "I" off the same album.

  • The best part is from 0:00 to 5:02

  • @kirell88 how dare you say that

  • @robzombys1 agree... i think that could be great the ace's heavy and this "power style", could sounds like Iced earth

  • @infernus44 agree! this song is fuckin awsome.. why don they play ?¿?¿

  • Ace's lead on this live version should of been on the album version

  • @spudnutsncoffee Ace hated this album because most of his leads were cut short on most of the songs.

  • The Elder is one of the best KISS recordings ever, should have been released in the non-makeup period where the progressive metal recording would have be appreciated instead of released in their teenybobber days

  • @superzapper Yeap "Asylum" was one poppy-album indeed
