Its because he hits a with strong left hand grip, so his swing path is good but it grip closes the clubfaces a little too much.

@WestBromSte A small metal hook used to kill ducks? Ha, not so dumb am I. God knows what it has to do with golf. I think he curved the ball left and it was going more left into the trees

Also, I've never seen a swing with such little extension. His club is almost on top of his back in his backswing.
