@trtomkitinholloywood No kiddin. At the level of skill I am at I would be paid to play 5 years ago. Nowadays companies only sponsor the best of the best. I'll still be at this event, but it is going to cost a pretty penny.

Totally agreed. For some of us it is not that we are not a champion. It is because we are totally broke, and can't afford to go 2,000 miles to Iowa. Truth be told I would of had the money to go but I lost over $900 going after the Donkey Kong 3 record. Ironic that I am being called out as not a champion because I was willing to LOSE money to get a record on my favorite video game of all time. Next year though, I will do my best to be there.

While this statement is somewhat true, lets take a CLOSE look here, not all of us world class gamers like myself that are UNPAID, can come to this event, it would be ideal and a must and should be reality that all World video game champions should have a paid flight and room and stay for this event, like all NBA,NFL,NHL player etc... we are, electronic/cyber athletes and should be paid for all we do. So until that happens this real champion myself and many others will not be able to attend sad.

i am not broke but the insinuation that i am not a champion and worse yet, that i am 'no one' because i choose to set (and legitimately document) my records in my small, modest, shitty home rather then some large event is nonsense. why is water even making statements about setting records anyways when he is supposedly retired from twin galaxies?
