A lost Classic. "Masquerader"by Feet First, released in about 1981 I believe. Coincidence or not, the lead singer is also playing an electric 12 string guitar by Shergold called a "Masquerader". Fantastic single.

  • Some very sad news.

Unfortunately, Mike Colman, who was our singer , violinist/guitarist, and main songwriter, has just died. He had been ill for some time, following a bout of severe pneumonia in 2003, when he lost 2/3 of his lung capacity. He was given 18 months to live, which has turned out to be 7 years. A few days before he died, he saw the video on YouTube, for the first time! He was really happy to see it after all these years.

    Chris

  • That is very sad to hear Chris. I'm glad he got to see the clip again. Through his music he got to reach a lot of us and we will always be grateful to him him being a part of our lives. That song makes me smile everytime.

  • Hey Aussieduck, just want to thank you in a major way for posting this clip. It truly is a lost classic. I hope that because of you it will begin to gather the recognition it has always deserved. Cheers man :)

  • God I love the 21st century. I got the 45 after seeing this clip on Countdown. Didn't expect to ever see it again.

  • @MalGee64 Ha - me too - was packing and came across it so came to see if there was anything on youtube

  • Mike was my neighbour; he was a great musician and it was sad to see his health decline. Rest in peace Mike.

    Gerald.

  • I still have the 45 of this. This is a goddamned classic!

  • There is now a my space page for the band. My Space dot feet first 1980.

  • I live in the same town as Mike Coleman ( Stroud U.K.) and worked with him on Now Gloucestershire magazine from1996 to 1997. He was a great bloke with a very dry sense of humour enjoyed by all. He is missed. R.I.P. Mike

  • Thank the gods that someone has this. I have searched for years for this. Great song.
