Fred Carpenter of FishDinnerLures.com, Carl Garner of The US Army Corps of Engineers, and Bob Brown of BobBrown.com catch hybrid striped whiterock bass and white bass on Greers Ferry Lake in Heber Springs, Arkansas in June, 2010. This early season fishing generally produces small fish but we caught several in the 3 to 4 pound range. Before Carl Garner retired, he was the resident engineer on Greers Ferry Lake since it's construction began in 1959. Carl celebrated his 95th birthday shortly before the fishing trip and caught 2 nice fish in the 3 to 4 pound range on this trip. Fred Carpenter is the master lure maker of FishDinnerLures.com and supplied all the lures for our trip. Bob Brown is a commercial voice talent and recording studio owner, and former fishing guide on the Little Red River.
