I think this is my favorite Conrad recording yet! 3:48-4:00 is meltingly divine. The dynamic control that he exhibits in that section (and indeed, throughout the whole piece) is wonderfully expressive and simply lovely. :) Thanks a bunch for this, primohomme. :D

He slips to his top notes with a beautiful ease - I dont particularly like fem male voices but when the singer is very talented it is a delight no matter the timbre (same applies for Andreas Scholl who is a God among counter tenors)

This sounds like a real voice to me( on top) more so than the other recordings.. He chose to sing this way( and it is lovely).. as opposed to the glottal position used by most tenorors( closed all the way).. This dude had an ability to sing between, wide open and closed ( the way most tenors sing their top.. ( making a big, sound with a lot of buzz. This is a rare vocal type!
