New 55 gallon tank. I moved my two tiger oscars, green terror, baby red oscar, and ropefish from my 40 gallon.( i know these fish will need a bigger tank soon, i have a 180 gallon sitting in my loft as soon as they need it).

55 gallon topfin

(temporary filter in this video because the topfin hob filter that cam with the tank was a piece of crap and loud as hell, emperor 400 biowheel is cycling on my feeder fish 30gal)

topfin 200w heater.

  • how big r ur oscars now r they too big for ur fish tank

    just curiosity

i have a fifty five gallon and i wanna put in 1 albino oscar'1 tiger oscar' a pleco, and a striped peacock eel

  • @e436789 right now my two tigers are 8 and 9 inches, my red oscar is about 5 inches, I've moved my blood parrot and terror into a 40 gal by themselves for now. Right now they seem to be just fine in the 55 gallon(as you can see i dont keep much decoration to save space) but once they hit like 10 inches ill move the three oscars into a 125 gallon I have, and move the others into my 55.

I guess your asking how long you can keep those fish in a 55. Id say about a year and a half tops.

  • @pimpunclemo how long did it take for you GT to get the yellow on his fins?? I might get some, but all the ones I see are pale :/

  • @scarhbar23 Mine had it from the start...it became more pronounce after a few months. It could be that you are looking at a blue acura. Its also more pronounce in males than in females.

  • nice but why three tiger oscars. mix it up. albinos and red oscars look so much better in my opinion.

  • @awinski999 well only two oscars are tiger oscars, and they were a breeding pair, the little one is a red.

  • how much ft is that

  • @e436789 Rule of thumb, 55 gallons Minimum PER Oscar fish. So 2 oscars, 110 gallons minimum at adult hood.

  • cool ur oscar fishes :)

  • @e436789 i have the same set-up . DO NOT PUT another chichlid in with ur oscar because they will kill each other when they are larger to gain territory . i have a 55 gallon bowfront with 1 red oscar 1 hi-fin pleco and a striped peacock eel . only put in fish that keep to them self's like pleco's catfish and other non agressive tought fish . if you want 2 chichlids in a tank 100 gallons would be a bare minimum and then they would still fight alot.

  • i have 2 tiger oscar 1 jack dempsey 1 convict and 1 ropefish

  • @007gazster Honestly Ive only known one person who has used internal filters. They seemed to have success, however their tank wasnt quite as pristine as ones with externals.

  • i luv how the music tone changes when the video shows the green terror lol
