  • Nikon D type screen has no fresnel lense which I think explains the darker corners? I've read that B type is basically a D type with fresnel lense. Would there be an advantage with using B type in this application? Also, where is the best (cheapest) place to find groundglass with no markings (split screen, hash marks etc) Best Regards, Bill

  • The Fresnel could be seen as a texture, especially on HD. No, i think ( not tested yet ) the distance Groundglass-cameralens must be about 2 inches minimum. For seeking Groundglasses use ebay, its the best place to find cheap ones. Other DIYs are talking of Canon EE-S Groundglass, search them too ?!
