Vargas isn't a fully developed character. He is only here to fill the fourth slot in the
game. When I remake this things will be a little different. He's just somebody with the same ideals as the heroes. Thereby giving a reasonable reason to join the party.
You'll notice things are taking a turn in both music choice and scenario. It's no longer romantic now. Well it's less romantic now. So now the characters can focus their efforts on trying to express their altruism. Due to the position of Jonathan in the story he's the best person to conduct some connections in the story to set up the final confrontation. Usually at this point in a game side quests and such would start but this isn't meant to be a game remember?

Here you will discover the antagonists and their intentions. Yeah I know they aren't really intelligent people unlike your normal despotic landgrabber or your jealous and vengeful friend or even more typical your normal prideful and regretful bad guy. These are just some jerks that enjoy causing discord which actually now that I think about it isn't so lame. Let me get out "Dante's Inferno" for a minute.
In the eighth circle of hell that Dante witnesses is reserved for those that seek to live their lives causing discord and misery to others. It's called Bolgia level 8. The ninth one is the worst one reserved for those who betrayed others. In that circle you are incased in ice but the ice covers your entire body from head to toe. The ninth circle comes right before Dante enters the chamber where Satan (or lucifer) himself is located in. So you see how twisted these characters are and how inhuman they are? For those of you who have never read this book Dante is just a pilgrim that is given a tour guide of hell by a roman poet named "Virgil" There's more than just hell that is mentioned there and although this is a book based on fiction all of it's details were derived from most Christian religions. It's kind of interesting. Read about it on Wikipedia.
Music Notes:
About the Mt. Gulug track. The original that I got from www.emuparadise.org had a strange squeak in it. I had to cut it out. It was murder but I managed to. On the plus side the loop for this track was very easy to make because it has a fade out in itself so I just had to copy and paste right after the fade out and it sounds normally followed with a little pause correction.
Metroid Fans. Yes I could've used one of those marvelous escape themes here but I'm trying to show my final fantasy side here. You should still be experiencing that same adrenal rush though. Bombing run is very good, alongside "Hurry Hurry" FF 5 and "RUN! And ambush attack" FF 9 and "only a plank between one and perdition" FF 8 these are the best escape themes of final fantasy that I've heard.
Developer Notes: I was trying to get the antagonists to leave the cave after Colin pressed the switch but for some reason the coding didn't work but it shouldn't be relevant because the viewer should be getting the message.
Final words: it would've been much more fun if I could've set up some parallel process events for screen shaking and map color changing (red to normal and back simulating an alarm or something.) and stalagmites falling but I was getting short on time and wanted to finish this project.

This has to be the worst RMXP mapping i have ever set my eyes upon. You may have the ability to create a well defined storyline, but may i suggest you find a tutorial for mapping? You have some potential, but your game quality is just going to be shit until you better your skill.
