Higurashi Motion Graphic vol. 2 w/ FULL English Translation

Haha! I finally got the key to translating this one, and I'm not letting it go. Yay! That was quick! I've been swamped with work for a while, and so naturally, I've been dying to unwind by doing one of these. It's still under construction, even though it says fully translated. I'm trying to put the lyrics in now - see if I can get that to work. Sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime!

Note: Okay, I'm totally frustrated about how to translate Kei-chan. Although I try to make things sound as smooth in English as possible, I'm leaving it as Kei-chan for the time being because "Kei" does NOT sound right to my ears, and I really feel like something's lost if it's just made "Keiichi." I might switch it to Keiichi later, though. If anyone's got an opinion on which sounds better, just let me know.

@Chrono247 ^^ Nope. The Japanese term for "spirited away" is "kamikakushi." The term in the video is a play off of that - onikakushi. Oni means "demon." That's why it's translated as "demoned away."

I personally think Kei-chan is fine. I'm used to it myself, so it doesn't even register as sounding "wrong" or anything to my ears. Kei alone does sound odd, but having Mion call him Keiichi doesn't seem right either. So, I think it's one of those situations that if it's not broke, don't fix it.
