This track never got the credit it deserved, alot of Sabbath fans have probably have never even heard it, Iommi was clasic on this song.

Glenn didn't sound the best on the Sabbath tour , because he had major throat problems . Brought on from getting his nose broken . Thats why he left the tour . If he was in top form he was ever bit as good as Gillen . Who was great as well .

This Sabbath days, were amazing!

Ray Gillen sin dudas fue un momento unico en Black Sabbath y dejo estas versiones interpretadas de forma impecable y con un profesionalismo digno de un grande de la voz ..

It's a common misconception that AIDS killed Ray. The truth is Ray and AIDS killed one another in a vicious sword duel.

It'd be cool if they'd release a standalone live album of a concert from the Gillen era lineup. I have a bootleg of him singing Heart Like a Wheel, all I have to say is it's amazing!

I still listen to stir of echos but only from the inside out.......After Time/ Space only scars remained and memories that shine but faded like a shinning star. But inside that feeling remains of the Days gone by and to many Storms that washed away Tenderness of Yesterday......

Ray had alot of Deep Purple , Rainbow and Bad Company in him as a vocalist, but you might want to check out the band that Fredy Aziza has now, which is a totally rocking power trio called "Den Of Thieves" You can see where the inspiration came from in Rays style from watching them and Fredy.

Listen to the song 3 Day Funk which ironically had a Grand Funk feel to it and you can hear the influence. Speaking of influences, I would have to say that if is was not for his original amazing guitarist Fredy Aziza and the vocal direction and turning Ray on to better singers, there would be NO Ray Gillen at all.

He may have been a product of the 80's and therefore lost in the shuffle amongst so many bands at that time, however his vocal style was more reminiscent of the great vocalists from the 70's ala Hughes, Coverdale, Dio, Rodgers and even Mark Farner-who he really liked as well. Ray was the last of his kind for certain!

Listen all-Ray was a great person and a good soul. He was the original vocalist in our band from New Jersey USA called Quest. He was a genuine human being and success did not spoil him like so many other so called "rock star singers" who could not hold a candle to him or even come close to his vocal talent.
is it me or do i hear two voices @ 5:30?

Geoff Nichols did backup vocals on occasion. If you're hearing two, its probably him and Gillen.
