This march from WWI honors General John J.(Black Jack) Pershing who was in overall command of the American Expeditionary forces in Europe. It is recorded here on a "Perfection" Roll #8784 played by Frank C.Weston published in 1918 .The music was written by Carl D. Vandersloot with words by J.R. Shannon. It is played here on my 1923 Harrington player.

  • My aunt who was at her prime during the ragtime days gave me the sheet music to this march. She was quite a piano player. It is great to hear this played as it was intended. Thanks!!
