On Hardball, Mike Barnicle talks with Brian Katulis and Mike O'Hanlon about the surge in Iraq. Aired 7/30/07.
In this interview, Barnicle wrongly states that Mike O'Hanlon was a critic of Bush's going into Iraq. Mike O'Hanlon was a supporter of the war and wrote a book laying out the case for war with Iraq.
@xdir
Nope, sorry. Katulis made ad hominen attacks against O'Hanlon. Extremely unfounded arguments and personal attacks that lead us to question his maturity and credibility.
O'Hanlon has been to Iraq and he is an expert on foreign relations. Convolve those two together, and I hope you come to the conclusion that he knows what he's talking about. Granted, he's wrong at times - in fact, he acknowledges it. Unlike his opponent, who states that everything about Iraq was/is a fiasco.

Brian Katulis wiped the floor with Hanlon. So now according the the new surge doctrine just lowering violence by any means is the ultimate goal in Iraq, of course the vioolence will dip when you have a greater force on the ground - IF they listened to Shinseki this whole mess would have been avoided altogether!!!
