SEPTA PCC steetcar #2320 (class unit) departs Westmoreland Street (eastern-most terminus of the line), and heads out with the driver greeting me with honking the horn and ringing the bell. Meanwhile, while he departs, another PCC trolley, #2334 arrives at the loop and opens the doors to let the passengers off. This video was taken February 14, 2009.
Toronto's streetcar system has the same audible warning devices, they are armed with both a gong/bell and a whistle/horn, though the horn/whistle is actually sounds like the oldies car horn from the 70's - 80's is that correct?

@AlexRampaul Not sure about Toronto, but the Girard Ave. PCC's have a mechanical gong and what sounds to be a modern carhorn; they were fully rebuilt in 2003 by Brookville from the ground up, new everything.
