It's his voice. If you have something wrong with the voice God gave him, then take it up with God. Who are you to judge his voice. He has passion, what you call "sappy," in his singing which is more than I can say for many Christian bands today. How does he sound irreverent? He loves God with his whole heart and that's what I hear when he sings. I hear no irreverence anywhere in this song.

Ha ha... It is pretty hard to appreciate his work without appreciating God's work. In fact it is impossible because God made him and gave him those talents.

@Spenceheart 3. When the singer flows immediatly into another song, upload both songs on one vid, that way the mood isn't interrupted by the sudden ending.
4. FADE OUT THE VOLUME at the end of the vid so the sound doesn't just suddenly stop, this includes the ambiant sound of the room you're recording in.
5. THANK YOU for uploading this vid, it has been a blessing, along with so many great performances captured of Phil Wickham's genius voice.

@Spenceheart 2. Epic moments are best kept with close ups, so stay in nice tight shots, especially if Phil is the only one performing/singing. It is more intimate this way. Think of any major film when they have dialouge between two main characters that have importance to it. As the conversation goes along, and more vulnerability is revealed, the only thing you see on screen by the end of the scene is just the actor's faces.

Word of advice to all youtubers who put up vids like this one (from someone who has studied film and arts):
1. One camera = One zoom setting. Don't zoom in and out, it looks bad, and it is distracting
Thank you for all your comments. I kinda laugh a little at the ones who suggest better camera and video editing, I filmed this when I was seventeen, it was the first time I've ever filmed anything in my life. I wanted to capture was the aspect of worship that Phil led us into that day. I have to honestly till you that I stopped filming after this song because God's presence was so thick in the room that no more taping was necessary. Thank you again for those who were blessed by this video
