Look, this isn't the best, but you can get the drift of how to do it. I was wondering why alot of people were having trouble uploading on to their computer. Well, here's how I do it. Maybe it will work for you. If I can figure it out, (and I'm no super internet/computer techno geek either) it shouldn't be a probelm for you.

  • did you use windows live movie maker to edit this video?

    do you reccomend this camera?

  • @SweetpeaMango No ma'am, I used Sony Vegas Pro 8. And, I would definitely recommend this camera. You can find it on Ebay or Amazon for cheap.

  • I got the drift bud, and I would like to thank you kindly from all my family who can now make as many videos as we like as I can store them to an external hard drive, much love.x.(in a manly way)

  • @goddie182 No probelm.. Now, GO MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!!! GO BIG RED!! LOL

  • Also.... Today home computers aren't capable of editing HD video like a hollywood style movie. I have a lot of GB's and RAM. It still gets a little lag when I go PiP totally in HD, add a lot of effects, add envelopes, etc..... It's not that big of deal for me. Not yet at least.

  • Just cut the file from your cam and paste it somewhere on your computer. It's under SD video file when you open it up. Then, just cut the file.

  • You do not need the software I just looked on JVC website. Remove the spaces so the link works.

  • Can you back up your files with Sony Vegas only and skip the PowerCinema? Thanks.

  • @ngvgnDOTcom I can edit in Sony Vegas Pr0 8 or 9 with no probelm. As long as it is straight cuts. I can edit MPEG 2 and AVCHD cleanly. It's only when I get into color corrections, effects, etc that there are some minor issues. It helped that I upped my GB's too. It all depends on what codec I use too.

  • I think you can edit the MTS files in other video editing programs but not the MPEG2 files. For MPEG2 you will need the software that comes with the JVC camcorder.
