Tim Babb's Kingdom Comedy: A Very EO Christmas

There's a lot thrown into this episode. It's a celebration of the Holidays, the return of Captain EO, and Marvel joining the Disney team. It's a lot to do in less than 3 minutes...but never underestimate the power of Disney!

I'm a comedian. I write what I know. And one thing I know a lot about is Disneyland. I usually end up with far too many Disney jokes in my act. So I've started "Kingdom Comedy." A series of Disneyland related humor for Disney lovers :) Enjoy the thirty-fifth episode!

Disney announced that Captain EO was returning a long time ago. Like in July they said that.

@DisneyParkAudios actually no. a "rumor" was "leaked" out back in the summer but nothing official was said. Bob Iger even denied it at the D23 Expo.

Yesterday was the first "official" announcement of EO coming back :)

@summerluv614 So sorry. I know the feeling of liking something that most people don't. I was very sad to lose "Golden Dreams" at California Adventure. Maybe they'll release a special edition DVD of "Honey" the movie with the HISTA on it.

They should reuse Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln as Great Moments with Michael Jackson with an audio-animatronic moonwalking Michael Jackson. And bring back Carousel of Progress as Carousel of Michael Jackson where we see the Jackson Family in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's up to his funeral. Also bring back An Adventure Thru Inner Space as An Adventure Thru Michael Jackson's Face "...From this viewpoint, I can see that NOTHING IS SOLID, no matter how it appears."

@timbabbcomedian Wow, you really liked Golden Dreams? Really? Always sounded like a fetish porn title to me. Well, Captain Eo is posted so I'm sure both HISTA and GD will do the same thing eventually. Personally, I miss the Keel Boats. It was one of the few rides you could smoke a joint without being seen or having the smoke detector go off. That and the bucket rides.

@northernflicker I consider Toy Story Mania the modern day equal to the Fantasyland attractions like Peter Pan, Show White and Mr. Toad which are all really fun and great experiences. But Disney just hasn't done anything that is the modern day equivalent of the People Mover, Monorail, Trip to the Moon/Mission to Mars or Circle-Vision 360 type of futuristic experience. Star Wars and Captain Eo are fantasies not futuristic.

@Gnillob802 I agree. Everyone thinks Toy Story Mania is so fantastic...It's a ride through video game!! But you'll notice how easy it would be to "tear down" and put up a new ride in it's place. All you need to do is change the video on each screen and VOILA!! You've got yourself a new attraction!!
