Revisionist history, Tea Party style. Not only did Bachmann fail in this speech as a politician, she even failed as a fifth-grade history teacher.@9:37 the wheels fell off of her dissertation. That's when she headed into fairy-tale land with American History. Instead of serving Tea at those parties, maybe they should read a history book.

@rawrified101 It's definitely accurate that Abe Lincoln stated that, but he did come out against slavery on moral grounds eventually.Hhe was against slavery for most of his life, there are private documents we have of his that indicate his abolitionist beliefs, but like many politicians, he made statements like this for political reasons. I still think that's one of the back-handed elements of politics, but he was opposed to slavery. It just took time for him to come out as an abolitionist
