Sony Cybershot DSC-W290 Camera Test (720p HD)

Here is a camera test of my new camera. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W290. So far I love it and I will be posting a review very soon. In this i've included indoor and outdoor tests of both the 720p HD video and the 12MP photos. The 2 test photos are only 9MP because I wanted to have them in 16:9 ratio for the HD video. However the photos at the end (You will notice that they are square) are the full 12MP resolution photos. Below are the links to download all of the raw files.

When your recording a video, can you zoom in and out while recording??? I'm trying to but its not working.

Hi. Do you need a Memory Stick Pro Duo Ultra card to shoot good HD videos or the standard Memory Sitck is enough?

thats your pc not the camera cos ive watched load of videos from this camera and none of them lagg they seem to run at about 30fps

does it have good focus like if you put words in front of it will it focus on the words to get a clear image on video mode

its youtube or probably your computer. i have W290 and whilst playing 720p it isnt as laggy as it shows here. but it does have some problems focusing while recording.

the pictures dont lose on quality when you transfer them onto computer. thats just bollocks, dont know where jtreyes1 heard that.

Pro Duo is necessary for HD (720p) filming, as the standard MS does not process data fast enough.

Loved how you showed the indoor pic/vid and the outdoor pic/vid (nobody else on YouTube does that). We were pretty sure we were going to get this camera for our compact travel camera but you convinced us this was the one.
