i remember when i beat this...i was 8 years old in 2nd grade...i found the ending so happy and mysteriously fascinating that it overwhelmed my heart and mind with feelings and emotion, and i cried...the only video game that has ever made me cry...i'm 23 now

This has to be one of the, if not GREATEST RPG video games of all time for the SNES (right up there with Super Metroid). It was what gave the SNES the alias as "The RPG King". It was an EPIC adventure with fun side quests, massive, if not gargantuan replay value, and fulfilment at the end of your long journey in Hyrule, and the Golden Land which was under Ganon's Corruption. It is a definate Super Nintendo Gem worthy of being in your Library.

In the GBA remake if you use a glitch in Thieves Town with the mirror you can access a hidden dungeon. Many of the Dark Realm bosses return and if you beat them all again in this level you will fight Dark Link who is sporting different colored tunics that grant him new abilities. I do not know the intended way in though since the guard at the entrance won't let me pass so the glitch is the only way in apparently.

Yeah the ending is a tear jerker but in a positive way. It makes you cry tears of joy because Link saved the world and things are going back to the way they were before Ganon and his minions interfered. Yay Link's uncle survived and so did the priest of the church. Happy ending all around.

@theblitz00 Ha! I beat this game when I was 5! with my dad's help, although he couldn't and still can't play if he depended on it!
