Siit' on jämptisti 50 vuotta - "It has been roughly 50 years"
In this song two war veterans are meeting in a restaurant, going through what happened roughly 50 years (story takes place in early 90s) before, they remember their comrade and brother in arms they carried away from battlefield at Svir front after the comrade named Torsti was killed in action, they raise a toast for memories, come to conclusion that were they still in battlefield, they would do the same they did in 1941-1944; even a wheelchair wouldn't stop them, come fire or frost, and that they would drench the todays youth in Vuoksi river like they were once drenched, after that they raise another toast for memories, they end their evening when taxi comes to take one of them home.
the chorus of this walze translates as
"It has been roughly 50 years
since we carried Torsti.
But he didn't die for nothing;
we did avenge him."
PS. for those not aware, the "Äähnruutin Aatu", "Aatu of Ehrnrooth" refers to the General of Infantry Adolf Erik Ehrnrooth, a famous Finnish officer who was but a major when the Continuation war started in 1941, he was also related to by marriage to marshall Mannerheim, some decades after the war when Finnish people started to appreciate and honor the war veterans Ehrnrooth became the figure head of the Finnish war veterans, he died in 2004 and was buried with full military honors of a general on 13th of March 2004.

Korsuorkesterin hieno unnian osoitus veteraaneille.
