This video was made to dispel any possible misconceptions that a LIF will block or protect an image intensifier from typical infrared lasers (780nm - 940nm). A LIF does not protect image intensifiers from these types of lasers. The video also demonstrates the LIF's ability to block green lasers. Light interference filters were not designed to block green lasers (532nm), the fact that a LIF does is simply a side effect stemming from the coatings used to block the target wavelength of 1064nm.
