45-year-old Stuart is a volunteer with the Grand Falls-Windsor (Newfoundland) Fire Department. Following in the steps of his father and grandfather, Stuart started working at the local paper mill as a teenager - almost 28 years ago. In March, 2009, the AbititiBowater mill shut down, putting 700 people out of work. For close to a century the paper mill has been Grand Falls-Windsors main employer. What happens when a company town loses its company? Stuart and his wife Pauline dont have a ready-made answer, but one thing is for sure, leaving is not even an option. When the province offers to help establish cranberry farms in the area, Stuart and his wife Pauline embark on a new career path. Pauline works at the Canadian red Cross since 2001 and has been sharing her life with Stuart for 19 years now. Their partnership is about to enter a new phase.
